xls4Oracle – 4.0.1.48 just posted

This release has passed all test senarios.

Dataload: Date handling has been streamlined. The dateformat is not nessesary anymore. A new algoritm based on julian date is being used. All excel dates is based on the 01-jan-1900 date and all oracle dates is based on the 01-jan-0000 date.

Dataload: error handling has been improved. Two types of error: Compliation error:script can not compile – Optional error screen showning the error and the generated script with error. Option to continue or cancel. This happens if you enter a character into a number column. Execution errors – like entering to long string into a varchar2, resulting in the "character string buffer too small"  – error message goes to the msg column and status is "E".

Dataload: Multiline executions – used in ar invoice load and order loads – improved statu update.

Dataload: New parameter: Show Errors – Shows the dataload error.

SQL: New parameter: Hide Empty – Y => if extrcted data in a column is all null values – column is hidden. This is very handy when extract all columns from a table and you dont need to see all those empty attribute columns.Hidden columns can be changed to Show.

SQL: Comment is cell A1 has all the needed information to make a refresh.

SQL: New parameter: Email – after extract, email is prepared with the extracted data sheet as an attachment.

SQL: Pause functionality: rows and/or seconds.

SQL: The logon parameter – if logon = 1, then a user logon shows a list of responsibilities to generate the apps initialize.

SQL: Multi execution will now execute all without interuption.

Dataload: Pause functionality: Errors, rows and/or seconds.

Dataload: New parameter: Adaptor – to name the dataload. This will be used for the new indirect dataload, coming soon.
